I really wanted to explore using found source material for the basis of my work, it was focused on the idea of connectivity and psycho-geography. I wanted to investigate my relationship to landscapes, how i understand them. When i’m in a place i will build little maps in my head subconsciously, so i wanted to play around with the imagery. I decided to take a trip to scotland to explore a landscape that was unfamiliar to me. I documented the journey as i went. Then using UK rail network maps i played around with screen prints and film making.The end result is this sort of smorgasbord of visual information.
